MEET DIEGO.
I, Diego German Alejandro González-Clark, was born in Roosendaal, February 20th, 1992. I grew up in Wouw, North Brabant, a small town in the south of The Netherlands. I’m a halfblood as my mother is Dutch and my father is Chilean. For that reason I’m fluent in Spanish.
I Started at the ‘Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten’ in Tilburg where I studied at the dance academy BFA in Musical Theatre. I left The Netherlands and crossed the Canal to continue my journey in London, England, where I graduated in 2013 with BFA with an Honors Degree in Music Theatre at the University of Arts and London Studio Centre.
Before even graduating I returned to the Netherlands in 2014 to become one of the Puppeteers to play the lead role in ‘Warhorse’ by the National Theatre. After finishing the Dutch and Belgian tour of ‘Warhorse’ I immediately became kids director of the hit musical ‘The Bodyguard’ in 2015. In this same year I went straight into ‘Disney’s Beauty and the Beast’ as Swing.
In 2017 I got the chance to play in the musical ‘On Your Feet’, a story about the life and music of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Followed by the prominent role of Eddie in the musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ in 2018.
As a self employer based in Amsterdam, I continue to work in this business as a freelance actor, singer, dancer, presenter and voice actor. Furthermore you can see and hear me in several commercials. I have worked for Vodafone, McDonalds, Eyewish, ABN/AMRO and Mitsubishi. Have you spotted me already?
